<p>Human Rights Day annually celebrated on 10 December every year. </p>



<p>This date chosen as Human Rights Day to honor the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. This step regarded as the first major achievement of the new United Nations.</p>



<p>The formal establishment of Human Rights Day occurred at the 317th meeting of the general assembly on 4 December 1950.</p>



<p>Marking this day as the occasion of Human Rights Day. India’s President Ram Nath Kovind will address a program organized by National Human Rights Commission.</p>



<p>President will address as the chief guest in the presence of the chairperson Justice Arun Mishra. NHRC in India is a public body that is responsible for the protection and promotion of Human rights.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Universal Declaration of Human Rights :</h2>



<p>Universal Declaration of Human Rights a milestone document that proclaims the rights that everyone. Entitled as a human being regardless of race, sex, language, color, religion, political, opinion, origin, property birth, or another status.</p>



<p>This document contains 30 articles in total that discuss specific human rights. This entire document discusses universal values for all people of all nations.</p>



<p>The Universal Declaration of Human Rights document available in 500 languages and considered the most translated document in the world.</p>

<p>Every year this day celebrated by choosing a suitable theme and implementing it to give a message worldwide, this time that means in 2021 theme is related to “EQUALITY”. </p>



<p>This theme is based on Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) book which states that- ;</p>



<p>“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”</p>



<p>It is concluded that a human rights-based approach to development will automatically result in reduced inequality.</p>
